“Out Loud & On Go[D]”

When I was younger, I was reluctant to truly commit my life and live for God. Why? Because I saw people see people become a frail, reclusive version of the person they were when they decided to make the change. You ask em to do even the smallest of entertaining/fun things and they say, “oh no I don’t do that anymore!” Well dang what DO you do now?! I didn’t want to “lose myself” for the sake of living “holy” (boring, mundane, stale).

Yet when I did make the move, I went quiet too! Yeah, I still lived..enjoyed a good deal of the same activities I did before, but for whatever reason I silenced my voice. When I was in the world, whatever I was into I made clear & abundantly known. Whether racing down the highway in my car, or rollin one up & vibin’ at a show..I was talkin and posting about it. But when I had conversations and got revelations from God…😶

Maybe bc I didn’t want to seem like parading my new life around..but is there anything wrong with that? Are we not supposed to let our light shine?? Maybe because as much as this life promises peace & joy, it often comes by way of tests..or hard journeys that we often have to do alone. Not something that’s attractive or that looks good on your IG feed. Nevertheless it’s important to display the FULL picture of what it looks like to live a life for Christ..to be a “living testimony”.
